Planet Diversity World Congress on the Future of Food and Agriculture

DIVERSITY ON TOUR

PLANET DIVERSITY IN YOUR HOME TOWN

Planet Diversity arranged for the possibility of organising events with international delegates in different German cities and towns during the UN Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD), which took place in Bonn.
It would have been a pity to limit such diversity of experience and engagement to the city of Bonn only.

Therefore, we tried to encourage people from different cities in Germany to take advantage of a wonderful opportunity to meet and hear from so many interesting and professional people being brought together from all over the world in Bonn. To this end, we helped local groups organize several public events in the days before and after Planet Diversity.

What we could offer were contacts to the guests of the Planet Diversity Congress that might have been able to prolong their trip and present their work, stories and experience and discuss with activists and interested people in different towns and cities. The partners organising the event could present themselves as a part of Planet Diversity and access our information and presswork, our festival newspaper and our website.

We sent five delegates “on tour”, two from North America and three from southern countries. The idea was to put the needs, situation and understanding of the German audience into a global context. The events were a great successful and a unique and enriching experience for all involved.

The 'Diversity on Tour' project was coordinated by Julia Bar-Tal
